Privacy Policy for White Balancer

1. Your Photos Stay on Your Device

All photo and video editing in the White Balancer app ("the App") is performed locally on your device. We never upload, transmit, or store your photos, videos, or their metadata. Your images never leave your device through the App.

The App requests access to your photo library so you can choose an image to edit and save the result. That access is used only for those purposes.

2. Information We Collect

We operate a server that records purchases so your ad-free entitlement works across your devices and survives reinstalling the App. The following limited information is stored:

• A random device identifier. When you first open the App, a random identifier is generated and stored in your device keychain. It is not derived from your name, email, phone number, or any hardware identifier, and it does not identify you personally.
• Purchase records. If you buy "Ad Free", we store the Apple transaction identifiers for that purchase so the entitlement can be verified and restored. We do not receive or store your payment card details — payment is handled entirely by Apple.
• Your Apple user identifier, only if you choose to sign in. Signing in with Apple is optional and is used solely to link your purchase to an account so it can be restored on another device. Apple allows you to hide your email address when signing in.
• Notifications from Apple. Apple sends us server notifications about purchase events such as refunds, so we can keep your entitlement accurate.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or any other personal information.

3. Advertising

The free version of the App displays advertising served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, Google may collect device-level information such as a device advertising identifier, general device and operating system details, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and ad interaction data. This processing is carried out by Google, not by us, and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

The App does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not request permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

Purchasing "Ad Free" permanently removes all advertising from the App, and with it the ad-related data collection described above.

4. Analytics

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used so we can fix bugs and improve the App. We log events such as the App being opened and a photo being saved or shared. These events describe actions, not content — no photos, videos, or personal information are included.

Analytics data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can limit this collection through your device privacy settings.

5. Our Website

Our website, whitebalancer.com, is separate from the App and may use analytics and cookies to measure general site traffic. This does not collect any data from your device or from the App.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates Google AdMob (advertising), Google Firebase Analytics (usage analytics), and Apple's StoreKit and Sign in with Apple (purchases and optional sign-in). Each is subject to its provider's own privacy policy. We do not sell or share your information with any other third party.

7. Data Retention and Security

Purchase records are retained for as long as needed to honour your ad-free entitlement and to meet legal, accounting, and chargeback obligations. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-controlled servers.

Because we hold no photos and no directly identifying personal data, the impact of any security incident is inherently limited.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the information associated with you, and to object to certain processing. Because we identify you only by a random device identifier, please contact us from the device in question so we can locate the correct record. To exercise any of these rights, email support@whitebalancer.com. Deleting your purchase record may prevent your ad-free entitlement from being restored.

10. Legal Compliance

We comply with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and the CCPA where they apply. We do not sell personal information as those laws define the term.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above. If we introduce features that materially change how data is handled, we will notify users and, where required, ask for consent before the new processing begins.

12. Third-Party Links

The App and our website may contain links to external sites, including those reached by tapping an advertisement. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those sites.
